Description

In Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger, King Brachion (獣騎神キングブラキオン) occupies a rank all his own. He is not one of the five Guardian Beasts but instead holds the title "Juukishin" — Beast Knight God — a class unto himself. He is the only Guardian Beast with no human master, appearing as a colossal mechanical Brachiosaurus that serves as both mobile fortress and carrier for the Zyurangers. That makes him less a conventional battle mecha than the single largest and heaviest piece in the entire lineup.

His real power lies in combination. When his two tail cannons slide forward he becomes the "King Tanker," laying down support fire for the Rangers and carrying Daizyujin into battle as a war chariot. The crowning form is the ultimate fusion: Zyutei Daizyujin mounts King Brachion, whose chest plate becomes a breastplate and whose forelegs become gauntlets, creating Ultimate Daizyujin (究極大獣神) — the mightiest of all Guardian Beast combinations. Its finishing move, the "Grand Banisher," was a barrage powerful enough to destroy Dai-Satan in the series finale.

In Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, King Brachion became Titanus the Carrierzord — the zord that hauled the Dinozords and joined with the Megazord and Dragonzord to form the legendary Ultrazord. He later returned as a carrier for the Ninjazords and Shogunzords as well, keeping him in play across several seasons.

The original DX toy debuted in 1992 from Bandai Japan as DX King Brachion, and it remains a centerpiece of any collection: a motor drives him along on his own (or he can free-wheel), coupling attachments let him tow the DX Daizyujin behind him, and show-accurate stickers finish the look. Bandai America reissued him in 1993 as the Deluxe Titanus, with altered stickers, a gold-painted back plate, and the chain changed from gold to silver. Between his sheer size and the working drive gimmick, King Brachion / Titanus stands among the most sought-after vintage pieces of the Zyuranger and MMPR era.
