The base is the Dino Megazord — known as Daizyujin in the original Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger. It's formed by combining the five Guardian Beast Dinozords: the Tyrannosaurus, Mastodon, Triceratops, Saber-Toothed Tiger and Pterodactyl. It wields the Power Sword (the "Dinosaur Sword Godhorn" in the Japanese version) and the Mammoth Shield, and delivers its finishing blow with the Super Legendary Lightning Cut. It can also fold back down into its tank mode, the Dino Tanker.

Bandai/Tamashii Nations' Soul of Chogokin GX-72 is the premium take on that classic: a high die-cast content gives it real heft, backed up by crisp paintwork, full transformation (tank mode included), plus effect parts and swappable hand sets.

This particular release is the GX-72B — the black San Diego Comic-Con 2018 exclusive, issued to mark Mighty Morphin Power Rangers' 25th anniversary. It's a sharp redeco of the GX-72 in black with lavish gold trim, green accents and silver chrome; its gleaming, plated die-cast parts are colour-matched to complement the Soul of Chogokin Dragonzord / Dragon Caesar. A few months after the convention it also saw a wider release through the Tamashii web shop.
