This collectible is built on the Dino Megazord — known as Daizyuzin in Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger and as the Dino Megazord in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. It forms from the five Dinozords / Guardian Beasts (Tyrannosaurus, Mastodon, Triceratops, Sabertooth Tiger and Pterodactyl) and is the original Megazord of the entire franchise — the first combining giant robot that set the template for everything that followed.

This particular release comes from the Zord Ascension Project (ZAP), Hasbro's high-end premium tier within the Lightning Collection — and fittingly carries the number MZ-0101, the very first ZAP release. Rendered in 1:144 scale, it includes all five individual Dinozords, which combine into both the Tank Mode and the upright Battle Mode. Premium touches such as translucent parts, specialized paint techniques to bring out each Zord's detail, and a removable faceplate that reveals the cockpit with sculpted Rangers inside push it well beyond earlier DX versions. The design deliberately draws on the original Japanese concept art rather than the TV proportions.

Released in 2022 at an MSRP of $164.99, the ZAP Dino Megazord is very much a prestige piece for adult collectors — a loving, highly detailed reinterpretation of the Zord that started it all back in 1992/1993.
