Description
This figure is based on the Dragonzord — known in Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger as the Guardian Beast Dragon Caesar, the beast of the sixth warrior Burai. In Mighty Morphin Power Rangers it became Tommy's Dragonzord, summoned from the sea and conducted by the Green Ranger through the melody of the Dragon Dagger. With its drill tail, missile fingers and unmistakable roar, it remains one of the most iconic mechs in the whole franchise.
This release comes from Hasbro's Zord Ascension Project (ZAP), the company's current high-end collector line under the Lightning Collection banner. Built to 1:144 scale, it leans on full articulation, translucent components and elaborate specialized paintwork. The accessory count is generous: around 13 pieces in total, including blast-FX effect parts for the finger weapons and three tiny Green Ranger figurines — including one in a hero pose and one playing the Dragon Dagger — that tuck away beneath the openable head armor.
The design deliberately references original concept art and the toy's Japanese roots. The real treat for collectors is combinability: the ZAP Dragonzord docks onto the ZAP Dino Megazord (MZ-0101) to form both the Dragonzord Battle Mode and the Mega Dragonzord, just like in the show.
