Description
The Falconzord is the airborne Mecha of the White Ranger, Tommy Oliver, from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Season 3. Its origin lies in Ninja Sentai Kakuranger, where it appears as the "Holy Stealth Beast Tsubasamaru" (翼丸) – a self-aware, winged ninja Mecha that Bandai Japan released as a DX toy in 1994, complete with light-up wing tips and sound effects. Its signature trick: it docks onto the Ninja Megazord to form the Ninja MegaFalconzord, and can even carry the mighty Shogun Megazord aloft as the Shogun MegaFalconzord. When Bandai America first imported the mold as the Deluxe White Falconzord (across the MMPR: The Movie and Season 3 toylines), the light and sound electronics were removed to cut production costs.
This release comes from the Power Rangers Legacy Collection, which Bandai America launched in 2013 for the franchise's 20th anniversary: premium remakes of the classics aimed squarely at adult collectors, featuring die-cast content, sharper detailing, and markedly upgraded paintwork. The Legacy Falconzord was revealed at New York Comic Con 2015 and shipped in February 2016 – deliberately packaged in the style of the 1995 movie toyline, a lovely nostalgic nod.
For collectors, it's the most refined Falconzord to date: a partial die-cast body plus metallic paint accents give the roughly 10-inch bird real heft and presence. It transforms and links up through the Zord Builder system with other Legacy zords, letting you assemble even fresh, show-impossible combinations. A must-have for any Ninja and Shogunzord display shelf.
