Description
Sirender is the personal mecha of Signalman — the dutiful interstellar traffic cop and sixth-warrior ally who joins the Carrangers from episode 12 onward. Signalman summons his cruiser with the Signal Whistle; on the command "Stand up, Sirender!" the vehicle races through an underground tunnel and rears up into a humanoid battle robot — the Battle Mode featured here.
In Vehicle Mode, Sirender is a nimble police cruiser, fast enough to run down fleeing criminals, and fires the "Signal Flash" energy beam from the signal light on its roof. Standing tall in Battle Mode, it boasts tremendous strength (it once hurled a giant clear across Japan by hand) and a full arsenal of police-themed gear: the Siren Vulcan laser gun, the Wappagun handcuff fired on a chain, wrist-mounted Siren Daggers, and the Siren Shield riot shield.
Unlike the Vic Trailer, which transforms into a support robot for VRV Robo, Sirender never combines with anything — it stays a solo act, operating independently and fighting shoulder-to-shoulder with the team's main robot, RV Robo. That makes it a rare, fully self-contained sixth-ranger mecha that stands (and swings) entirely on its own.
The DX toy was released by Bandai Japan as "DX Sirender," folding from cruiser to robot via a flip mechanism, with die-cast content and the signature roof signal light. In the US, Bandai America reissued the same mold in 1997 for Power Rangers Turbo as "Robo Racer" (model 3043, roughly $45), where the vehicle belongs to the Blue Senturion — Signalman's Turbo counterpart — complete with giant handcuffs, shield, and the "Synergizer" blaster.
