The Astro Megazord is the primary mecha of Power Rangers In Space (1998); its Super Sentai counterpart is the Galaxy Mega from Denji Sentai Megaranger. Rather than combining from multiple animal or vehicle zords, it forms as the Astro Megaship and Astro MegaShuttle dock together - a galactic warrior that goes into battle wielding a saber and shield. This release is the ZAP take on that very combining robo.

The Zord Ascension Project (ZAP) is Hasbro's current high-end line within the Lightning Collection: fully articulated, highly detailed collector models in a unified 1:144 scale that all fit together perfectly. The MZ-0602 delivers the Astro Megaship and Astro MegaShuttle as dockable assemblies, plus a hefty 14 accessories - including the Astro Megazord Saber and Shield, three sets of swappable hands, booster rockets and a separate shuttle. Collector highlights are the full articulation from head through arms to legs, an openable chest that reveals the cockpit, and five mini figures of the Space Rangers.

The MZ-0602 launched in 2023 as a fan-channel exclusive (pre-ordered through Hasbro Pulse, with an MSRP of around 165 USD). It's rated for ages 15 and up and ships as a build-it-yourself kit - a prestige piece for any In Space display and a must-have for ZAP completists.
