The Time Force Megazord is the US version of the Time Robo from Mirai Sentai Timeranger, assembled from five Time Jets that transform and combine on the "3D Formation" command. It fields two battle modes: Mode Red (Time Robo Alpha in the original) is the heavy-hitting ground brawler, while Mode Blue (Time Robo Beta) is built for speed and aerial combat; the same five jets can also form the large fighter craft Time Jet Gamma. Paired with the separately sold Time Shadow, it builds up into the imposing Shadow Force Megazord.

This Black Edition is an official special-color release from Bandai Japan out of the year-2000 Timeranger line — the DX Time Robo, typically packaged as a set together with Time Shadow, in an all-black recolor (a black-and-gold variant exists as well). The engineering is identical to the standard DX, gimmicks and combination mechanics included; only the sinister paint job changes, mixing chrome/metallic accents with the die-cast content typical of the era.

As a Japanese special-color run, the black set is considerably scarcer than the regular multicolor DX and a prized display piece — the classic "evil twin" look that collectors love about this line.
