Gao Gorilla is one of the Power Animals from Hyakujuu Sentai Gaoranger — known as the Gorilla Wildzord in Power Rangers Wild Force. This mighty gorilla forms the core and torso of the "muscular" combination Hyakuju Gattai GaoMuscle (Kongazord in Wild Force). Together with Gao Bear and Gao Polar, which serve as its massive fists, plus Gao Bison and Gao Eagle, it becomes the "Muscular Warrior," originally introduced as a stand-in for Gao King while Gao Lion was badly injured. GaoMuscle wields the Muscle Anchor (an anchor and chain) and two shoulder cannons called the Muscle Crackers.

This "Chrome Edition" is the coveted DX Silver Chrome Gao Gorilla — a promotional release from 2003, two years after Gaoranger's run ended in Japan, distributed exclusively through Bandai Asia/Hong Kong and never sold through regular retail. It's a straight repaint of the original Gao Gorilla, finished entirely in metallic chrome silver with a few unpainted die-cast parts. The whole zord gleams in chrome, and even the included Muscle Anchor gets the silver treatment — with a silver chain and a silver-painted anchor.

As the 4th of five versions of the Gao Gorilla mold, this is a genuine rarity. It doesn't include the Power Animal mini-figure (used with the roleplay summoning toys), and the chrome release surfaces only occasionally — dedicated Gaoranger collectors prize it as a notoriously hard-to-find highlight thanks to its limited promotional run and Asia-only distribution. It naturally remains compatible with all Gorilla-based combinations such as GaoMuscle and GaoKnight.
