Karakuri Ball 16 - Tri Kanmuri is one of three Karakuri Balls that together form the Tri-Condor – the trio of Ball 15 (Tsuno/horn), Ball 16 (Kanmuri/crown) and Ball 17 (Tsume/claw). Its Shinobi Medal is marked with the character 冠 (Kanmuri = "crown") and it is wielded by HurricaneRed. On the show, the Tri-Condor was originally Princess Laiina's spaceship and served as the basis for the Tri-Condor that was later folded into the Hurricanegers' arsenal. In the US adaptation Power Rangers Ninja Storm, the Karakuri Balls were localized as "Power Spheres," and the Tri-Condor appeared under the more generic name "Ninja Firebird."

Tri Kanmuri forms the body of the bird-like Tri-Condor, and – the real highlight – its head and face become, together with Balls 15 and 17, the helmet of the mighty Tenrai Senpuujin, the grand super-combination of Senpuujin, Gouraijin and Tenkuujin. As a rule, Karakuri Balls work as spherical capsules that store the mechas' tools and weapons in "ball mode": they slot into the chest pods of DX Senpuujin, DX Gouraijin and DX Tenkuujin and are triggered by fusing the matching Shinobi Medals onto the Hurricane Gyros. The Tri-Condor unites horn, crown and claw into the head and hands of the finisher combination.

As a DX toy the trio was released by Bandai (Japan) as "Karakuri Ball Series 04: Tri-Condor" – the set includes all three balls (15, 16, 17) along with the Tsuno, Kanmuri and Tsume Shinobi Medals, and is built mainly from ABS. The bird machine transforms into the head and hands of Tenrai Senpuujin, letting you combine the separately sold DX Senpuujin, DX Gouraijin and DX Tenkuujin into the titanic combination. Tri Kanmuri is the "body" module bearing the number 16. In the US, the counterpart appeared in Bandai America's Ninja Storm line as the "Ninja Firebird" Power Sphere.
