Bakuryuu Ankyloveilus is one of the auxiliary Bakuryuu from Bakuryuu Sentai Abaranger, debuting in episode 21. This Ankylosaurus-type Bakuryuu – affectionately nicknamed "Ankylo" – is a wonderfully headstrong, petulant character who openly distrusts the Abarangers at first, yet always turns up to help when it counts. At roughly 43 meters long, some 13 meters tall and around 1,150 tons, she's one of the more compact but hard-hitting members of the Bakuryuu pack.

Her signature act is combining with AbarenOh: Ankyloveilus takes the place of the Triceratops arm to form AbarenOh Veilus, delivering two weapons in one – the heavy Veil Blocker, a shield that blocks and deflects incoming attacks, and the Ankylo Drill, which strikes in close combat or fires off as a ranged projectile. AbarenOh Veilus's finisher, the Bakuryu Hissatsu "Double Tornado", combines the drilling slashes of the Tyranno and Ankylo Drills into one devastating twin strike. Beyond that, Ankyloveilus mixes and matches freely – forming AbarenOh Veilus Rokkiru (with Parasarokkiru) or AbarenOh Veilus Nokodon (with Dimenokodon) – and can dock with BakurenOh and KillerOh as well. In the mighty MaxRyuuOh, she becomes the left arm.

As a DX toy, Ankyloveilus was released by Bandai in Japan as a separately-sold auxiliary Bakuryuu that plugs into AbarenOh; the rotating drill and articulated club tail are its core gimmicks. In the US, Bandai America issued the same mold as the "Ankylozord" for Power Rangers Dino Thunder – cast in bright orange, with a fold-out shield and a missile-firing tail tip. There the Ankylozord replaces the Tricerazord as an arm of the Thundersaurus Megazord, enabling the Double Drill, one of the season's strongest finishers, and it's also part of the enormous Triceramax Megazord. A delightfully stubborn little collectible that truly comes into its own alongside the main mecha.
