Description
KillerOh is the sinister personal battle robot of AbareKiller (Mikoto Nakadai), the dangerous sixth warrior of Bakuryuu Sentai Abaranger. Debuting in episode 20, it is deliberately staged as the dark counterpart to the heroic AbarenOh: more aggressive, more brutal, and built entirely around its pilot's destructive fighting style. Where AbarenOh is the team's beating heart, KillerOh embodies the unleashed, selfish lust for destruction of its master.
KillerOh is formed from two Bakuryuu: Bakuryuu TopGaler, a stealth-bomber-type flying Bakuryuu that provides the arms, legs, and the signature Gale Spear, and Bakuryuu Stegoslidon, a hulking Stegosaurus Bakuryuu that forms the body and head. Its arsenal includes the Gale Spear, taloned hands, and Stegoslidon's razor-sharp back plates and tail. Its finisher is the Flying Drill Spin, and it channels the full force of the Gale Spear into the Death Stinger attack.
Like the AbarenOh side, KillerOh is fully expandable: it can deploy the auxiliary Bakuryuu (such as Dimenokodon and the other support saurians) as interchangeable striking limbs in the lightning-fast Bakuryuu Multi-Combine. Its greatest highlight, however, is the super-combination with AbarenOh into the massive Killer AbarenOh. In Power Rangers Dino Thunder, KillerOh was reworked into the White Ranger's (Trent) DinoStegazord, where TopGaler corresponds to the Dragozord and Stegoslidon to the Stegozord.
The DX toy, Bakuryuu Gattai DX KillerOh, was released by Bandai Japan in August 2003 (RRP 6,500 yen) and includes TopGaler and Stegoslidon along with connector parts. Stegoslidon features electronic motion (motorized movement), and thanks to the unified Bakuryuu peg standard the set freely combines with the rest of the Bakuryuu line — above all with the separately sold DX AbarenOh to build the super-combination Killer AbarenOh. Bandai also produced an "Another Version" recolor. In the U.S., Bandai America released the same figure under Power Rangers Dino Thunder as the Deluxe DinoStegazord — a must-have for any Abaranger shelf.
