Description
The Armored Wheel GoRoader GT (装甲車輪 ゴーローダーGT) is one of the most unusual Engines in all of Engine Sentai Go-onger — an "armored wheel" that is not one of the classic combining robos but a self-contained lone fighter. It was developed largely with the help of Renn Kousaka (Go-On Blue), the team's chief technician, together with the Go-on Wings. In its compact Wheel Mode it is a virtually unstoppable rolling tire; slot in an Engine Soul and it shifts into its humanoid Action Mode, "possessed" and piloted by that Engine. It debuted in episode 29 and recurred through to the finale.
What makes it special: GoRoader GT was at first almost impossible to control. Powered by Hiroto's defective "Power Soul," it went on destructive rampages during test runs. Only with Renn's "Tokon Soul" (Fighting-Spirit Soul) — forged from the bonds of nine Engines and seven hearts — was it finally completed, now fighting autonomously, extremely agile and strong. Insert an ordinary Engine Soul instead and the human-sized Action Mode lasts only a few minutes, draining the Soul so heavily it can manage just one battle before needing to recharge. Its most spectacular finisher is the Go-Roader Strike: at giant size it folds back into Wheel Mode, deploys a ramp from its back and charges the enemy along a curving energy track; the human-sized version is called the GoRoader Attack.
As a DX toy by Bandai (Japan), the Go-Roader GT delivers exactly these gimmicks: it converts between the unstoppable Wheel Mode and the humanoid Action Mode, and the included light-up Tokon Soul plays transformation and finishing-move sounds when slotted into its chest. The signature feature is the back "backpack," which folds out into a launch ramp so you can literally send the wheel rolling into action. Complete examples come with the red ramp/display base and the Engine Soul.
For Power Rangers RPM it was adapted as the Road Attack Zord and released by Bandai America using the same tooling (including a "Moto Morph" release in RPM packaging). Because GoRoader GT is a solo Engine with no fixed gattai role, it remained a charming outlier of the line — and today it's prized by collectors precisely for that independence and its unusual wheel-to-robot mechanism.
