The Tora Origami (Tiger) is one of the secret auxiliary Origami of Samurai Sentai Shinkenger, summoned from its own Hidden Disk, the Tora Disk. A snow-white tiger, it serves as a powerful support mecha for the core Shinken-Oh team. In Power Rangers Samurai the zord even gets its own little backstory: the Tiger Zord was initially under the control of the Nighlok Madimot and had to be tamed by the Red Samurai Ranger before it joined the team.

Its signature feature is the pair of forepaws that transform into mighty drills. The Tora Origami can burrow underground and tear open chasms; in attack mode it rolls toward the enemy like a wheel – driven by its own spinning disk – and thrusts its drill arms forward. That gives it one of the clearest close-combat and breakthrough profiles among the auxiliary Origami.

On its own it docks onto Shinken-Oh to form Tora Shinken-Oh (in Power Rangers Samurai: the Tiger Drill Megazord): its head and tail become a crested helmet while the rest of the body forms back armor bearing the two trademark drill arms. Combined instead with the Kabuto and Kajiki Origami, it forms DaiTenku (Samurai Battlewing) – here the Tora Origami provides the body and head crest, the Kabuto Origami forms the right wing and beak, and the Kajiki Origami forms the left wing and tail. DaiTenku in turn merges with Shinken-Oh to create the flying Tenku Shinken-Oh.

The DX toy was released by Bandai Japan as "Samurai Gattai 03 – Tora Origami," packaged with its matching Tora Disk; like all Origami it transforms via the signature rotating-disk mechanism and connects freely to Shinken-Oh and the other auxiliary Origami. For the Western market Bandai America released the same mold as the "Tiger Zord" in the Power Rangers Samurai line. A compact yet remarkably versatile centerpiece that features in several combinations at once – a must-have for any complete Origami collection.
