Description
Tategami LiOh (LT-06) is the last Buster Machine introduced in Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters (2012), the 36th Super Sentai series. The lion-type mecha is summoned and controlled through the Lion Blaster sidearm and works chiefly alongside Red Buster and Go-Buster Ace, which it also serves as a carrier. In Hasbro's Western adaptation Power Rangers Beast Morphers (2019/2020) the same machine appears, redesigned in dark blue with gold accents, as the Beast-X King Zord.
The machine has three modes: a lion (Animal Mode), a three-wheeled vehicle form called Super Speed Formation, and an upright robot mode; the name derives from "tategami" (Japanese for mane). For combinations it docks onto the other Buster Machines: with GT-02 Gorilla and RH-03 Rabbit it forms Go-Buster Lioh, and once BC-04 Beetle and SJ-05 Stag Beetle are added as well, the full combination Go-Buster King is completed.
The DX toy was released by Bandai Japan in 2012 and includes die-cast parts. It transforms between the three modes and connects to the rest of the line's DX Buster Machines via a combination gimmick, making it a large and comparatively expensive set. The DX Tategami LiOh itself is Japan-exclusive; for Beast Morphers, Hasbro issued a separate, differently engineered toy (Beast-X King Ultrazord, c. 2020) that is not based on the same mold.
