Description
Go-BusterOh (特命合体ゴーバスターオー, Tokumei Gattai Go-BusterOh) is the first and title-giving main mecha of Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters, the 36th Super Sentai series (2012). It is formed from the three Buster Machines of the core team: CB-01 Cheeda (Red Buster), GT-02 Gorilla (Blue Buster) and RH-03 Rabbit (Yellow Buster), each co-piloted alongside the team's Buddyroids Nick, Gorisaki Banana and Usada Lettuce. In the US adaptation Power Rangers Beast Morphers (2019) its counterpart is the Beast-X Megazord; the item described here, however, is the Japanese DX release.
A distinctive trait of the Go-Busters mecha is that every Buster Machine has, in addition to its vehicle/machine mode, its own animal robot mode: CB-01 becomes the humanoid robot Ace, GT-02 fights in a gorilla mode that walks on its arms, and RH-03 uses powerful jumping legs in rabbit mode. To form Go-BusterOh, Ace (CB-01) provides the torso and head, GT-02 supplies the heavy gorilla arms and RH-03 the legs. The resulting robot is sword-armed and defeats opponents with a blade-based finishing attack. Go-BusterOh also serves as the base for the series' later, larger combinations.
The DX toy was made by Bandai Japan and released in 2012. The three Buster Machines were sold separately (DX CB-01, DX GT-02, DX RH-03) and can be transformed both into their individual robot modes and combined into Go-BusterOh, largely without extra parts. Construction is mostly plastic with the limited die-cast content typical of Bandai's DX line of that era. For the North American market the design was later reissued by Hasbro as the Beast-X Megazord (2019), a separate product that is not identical to this Bandai version.
