Description

The Ammonite Zord is a secondary support and weapon Zord from the US shows Power Rangers Dino Charge (2015) and Dino Super Charge (2016), Bandai America's adaptation of Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger (2013). It stands out within the line: unlike the T-Rex, Stego or Tricera Zords, it has no mecha counterpart in Kyoryuger. The Japanese source featured only the matching "Gurumonite" Zyudenchi, an energy battery with no dedicated Guardian Beast (Zyudenryu); an ammonite mecha was never produced in Japan as either an on-screen robot or a toy. Bandai America turned that concept into a standalone Zord with its own Dino Charger (the "Dino Hypnotize" / Ammonite Charger). It is not a core Megazord but an auxiliary Zord shaped like an ammonite shell mounted on a tank-tread base.

Its combination logic follows the other limb Zords in the assortment: through the "Zord Builder" peg system it attaches to the Dino Charge Megazord or the Ptera Charge Megazord, usually as an arm. Rather than forming a fist, it becomes a Gatling-style rotary cannon. Its signature feature is the round ammonite shell, which can be fired forward during play.

The DX toy was made by Bandai America (2015) and is molded in plastic (no die-cast). Its action gimmick: inserting the Charger or pushing the two gray levers fully forward makes the shell shoot out and roll a short distance across a flat surface. To convert it into a Megazord arm you flip down a backstop, expose the Zord Builder port and reattach the shell sideways, forming the Gatling cannon. The set includes an Ammonite Dino Charger. In retail terms it first appeared in a small, hard-to-find Fall 2015 Dino Charge shipment that barely reached store shelves, and was then reissued as a mostly blue repaint for the Dino Super Charge launch (2016), where it became widely available.
