Description

The Deinosuchus Zord is from Power Rangers Dino Super Charge, the US adaptation of Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger. It is an auxiliary Zord shaped after the prehistoric giant crocodilian Deinosuchus and cast in orange. Its Super Sentai counterpart is Zyudenryu Deinosgrander, one of the thirteen Guardians - lesser Zyudenryu that aided the Ten Great Zyudenryu against the Deboth Army. A point worth noting for collectors: Deinosgrander never appeared as an actual mecha in Kyoryuger and was never released as a Bandai Japan DX toy, and the Deinosuchus Zord likewise never appeared in the Dino Super Charge TV series. It exists purely as a Power Rangers toyline creation with no Japanese equivalent.

As an arm Zord, the figure splits down the middle into two halves that plug onto the Dino Charge Megazord (and the Ptera Charge Megazord) as a pair of gripper arms tipped with large crocodile jaws. The resulting Dino Charge Megazord Deinosuchus Formation is unusual in that it is the only combination that completes the Dino Charge Megazord with just a single additional Zord, since the T-Rex Zord carries no arms of its own. Inserting a Dino Charger triggers a Battle Mode: a section folds down from the figure's back onto the tail, forming a second, rear set of jaws.

The toy was produced by Bandai America as part of the Dino Super Charge assortment (2015/2016). It is a roughly 6-inch figure on an entirely new mold, made wholly of plastic with no die-cast content, as was standard for the line. Its play feature makes the front jaws chomp open and shut when the figure is rolled along, and it separates into the two arm pieces for combination; an accompanying Dino Charger is included. Besides the standard orange version, a black repaint marketed as a Limited Edition was also released, catalogued separately in this database.
