Description

In Power Rangers Dino Super Charge — the US adaptation of Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger — the Spino Zord is a navy-and-yellow Spinosaurus Zord created in the story by Shelby and Zenowing. Its Japanese original is Zyudenryu Tobaspino, catalogued as number 00 because it predated the ten Great Zyudenryu and was the first to appear in the ancient war against the Deboth Army. Tobaspino had no dedicated Kyoryuger partner; it debuted in the 2013 summer film Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger: Gaburincho of Music, where it was first turned against its allies and then purified by the team.

The zord has a flying/boomerang mode and mainly serves as the core of its own combination. Merging with Ankylo Zord and Pachy Zord (Ankydon and Bunpachy in Japan) it forms the Spino Charge Megazord, known in Japan as SpinoDaiOh, supplying the torso, head and legs while the dorsal sail acts as the Spino Defenser. Signature weapons include the Spino Boomerang, the Ankydon Hammer and the Bunpachy Ball. An alternate build, SpinoDaiOh Western, uses Parasagun and Zakutor instead. Like the other Zyudenryu it follows the Kamitsuki Gattai ("biting combination") system.

This entry is the US release: the Limited Edition Deluxe Spino Zord by Bandai America, issued in September 2016 as part of the Dino Super Charge Zord Builder line. It is an oversized Deluxe Zord compatible with the other Zord Builder pieces and ships with one Dino Charger. The "Limited Edition" wording refers to the packaging run; no numbered edition is documented. Construction is predominantly plastic — notable die-cast content is not typical of the Kyoryuger/Dino Charge Zyudenryu. The Japanese counterpart is Bandai Japan's 2013 DX Tobaspino (Zyudenryu Series 00) with a Zyudenchi sound feature; a compatible 2024 reissue, the DX Full Action Tobaspino, appeared later.
