Description

The Kamitsuki Gattai Kyoryuzin (roughly "Biting Combination Kyoryuzin") is the primary Megazord of Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger (2013–2014), the 37th Super Sentai series. It is assembled from the Zyudenryu ("Beast-Battery dinosaurs"), the team's mechanical dino partners. In its default configuration Gabutyra (Tyrannosaurus, Kyoryu Red) forms the torso and head, while Stegotchi (Stegosaurus, Kyoryu Blue) and Dricera (Triceratops, Kyoryu Pink) form the arms. In the American adaptation Power Rangers Dino Charge / Dino Super Charge (2015–2016) this same lineup is marketed as the "Dino Charge Megazord," with the individual zords fulfilling largely the same roles.

The "Kamitsuki Gattai" (biting combination) gimmick gives the robot its name: the smaller Zyudenryu clamp their jaws onto Gabutyra to become the arms, and because the arm slots are interchangeable, both show and toy feature many named battle modes depending on which dinos are attached — for example Kyoryuzin Western (Parasagun/Zakutor), Kyoryuzin Macho (Ankydon/Dricera) or Kyoryuzin Kung-Fu (Ankydon/Bunpachy). The line's signature accessories are the Zyudenchi ("Beast Batteries"), collectible battery-shaped tokens that plug into the mecha and weapons. Kyoryuzin wields a sword and can be extended with additional Zyudenryu into the larger combined weapon known as the Kentrospiker.

The DX toy was released by Bandai Japan in 2013 within the Kyoryuger range. Kyoryuzin is built from several Zyudenryu sold individually or in sets (at minimum Gabutyra, Stegotchi and Dricera), joined via the biting connectors. Like most modern DX Sentai robots it is predominantly ABS/PVC plastic; any die-cast content is limited to individual parts rather than the whole figure. The core play value lies in the mechanical clip-together, reconfigurable "bite" mechanism and the non-electronic Zyudenchi tokens that snap into dedicated slots. Bandai America's parallel "Dino Charge Megazord" differs in paint and detailing; the Kamitsuki Gattai Kyoryuzin named here refers specifically to the Japanese DX release.
