The Ptera Charge Megazord is the US name for the mecha "Pteraiden-Oh" (プテライデンオー) from Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger (2013), carried over into Power Rangers Dino Charge (2015) and Dino Super Charge (2016). It is built from the Zyudenryu (Guardian Beast) Pteragordon, the Pteranodon partner zord of Kyoryu Gold (Utsusemimaru); in the US adaptation the Ptera Zord is commanded by the Gold Ranger (Sir Ivan of Zandar). Unlike the primary Kyoryuzin / Dino Charge Megazord, which requires three Guardian Beasts, Pteragordon transforms largely on its own via "Kaminari Henkei" (Lightning/Thunder Transformation), making it a standalone secondary or assist Megazord rather than merely a component of the core robot.

Its signature armaments are the two forearm-mounted Ptera Cutter blades and the chest-mounted Ptera Head cannon. Through the Zyudenchi / Zord Builder system it can combine with additional zords (for example Pteraiden-Oh Western, made from Pteragordon, Parasagun and Zakutor) and can merge with the main Megazord into a more powerful configuration (Raiden Kyoryuzin), in which Pteragordon docks onto the robot's back and replaces its head. Besides robot mode it also features a flight mode (Pteranodon/Pterodactyl mode).

This entry refers to the Bandai America US release, not the Japanese DX version. The standard Ptera Charge Megazord shipped in 2015 as part of the Zord Builder line; it is predominantly plastic with no notable die-cast content, converts between robot and flight modes, and includes a Dino Charger that unlocks the battle cannons. The "Limited Edition Red" listed here is a color-swapped repaint (red and black in place of the standard black-gold-white deco), distributed in early 2016 during the Dino Super Charge period as a retailer-exclusive special variant (via KMart.com among others). It is functionally identical to the standard release; the only difference is the limited colorway.
