Description
The Fire Ressha (ファイアー烈車) comes from Ressha Sentai ToQger (2014–2015), the 38th Super Sentai series, whose entire mecha line is built around trains (Japanese ressha). ToQger was never adapted into Power Rangers — Saban/Hasbro skipped it — so the show and its toys remained Japan-exclusive, and no Fire Ressha ever appeared as a Power Rangers product. Within the series the Fire Ressha is one of the auxiliary Support Ressha rather than a standalone battle robot: a fire-engine-themed train unit that serves as a limb in a larger mecha combination. It is closely tied to the secondary robot Diesel-Oh: as an armament Ressha, the Fire Ressha docks onto Diesel-Oh and replaces its left forearm with a firefighting/extinguisher arm (the "Diesel-Oh Fire" battle mode, finisher "Fire Splash"). Diesel-Oh itself, however, is formed from the Diesel Ressha (torso, head and arms) plus the Tank and Car Carrier Ressha (legs).
ToQger's signature is the modular "Ressha Gattai" (train combination) system: every Ressha is interchangeable, so any support train can dock onto ToQ-Oh (the main robot built around the red Red Ressha core) or onto Diesel-Oh. The Fire Ressha carries a firefighting motif (red-and-white styling, ladder/hose theme) and, once combined, contributes the matching arm and weapon function. Because the parts swap freely, it can also be mounted on ToQ-Oh to create alternate configurations — a core play feature of the range.
The DX toy was released in 2014 by Bandai Japan as part of the "Ressha Gattai" series, sold separately as well as together with the Police Ressha (not included in the DX Diesel-Oh set). Like the other ToQger zords it is made essentially of ABS/PVC plastic; the support ressha do not feature notable die-cast content. It rolls on wheels in train mode and reconfigures through the line's standard peg-and-hinge system into arm or leg modules that attach to ToQ-Oh or Diesel-Oh. As ToQger was never sold as a toyline outside Japan, there is no Bandai America or Hasbro release, and overseas collectors rely on imports.
