Description
Ressha Gattai ToQ-Oh is the first and titular main mecha of the Japanese series Ressha Sentai ToQger (2014–2015), a railway-themed show whose team – the ToQgers of the "Rainbow Line" – consists of five core members, ToQ 1gou through 5gou (Red, Blue, Yellow, Green, Pink). Important for collectors: ToQger was never adapted into a Power Rangers season (the US franchise skipped the series entirely), so there is no US name, no Hasbro or Bandai America product, and no Power Rangers toy at all. ToQ-Oh exists solely as a Japanese Bandai release.
The mecha is formed by combining five "Ressha" (trains) of the Rainbow Line: the Red Ressha builds the torso and head, while the other four (Blue, Yellow, Green, Pink) form the arms and legs. Its signature feature is the interchangeability of the limb Ressha – you can freely decide which train occupies which position, altering the color arrangement of the arms and legs. This modular concept mirrors the show's "transfer"/color-swap mechanic. ToQ-Oh wields the Fumikiriken (踏切剣, "Railway Crossing Sword"); its finisher, the Fumikiriken Ressha Slash, brings down railroad-crossing gates and train afterimages onto the enemy. Later "Legend Ressha" (from earlier Sentai such as Kyoryuger, Go-Busters, Goseiger, or Gokaiger) can also be attached to form alternate heads and chest pieces.
The DX toy, "DX Ressha Gattai ToQ-Oh," was made by Bandai (Japan) and released on 14 February 2014 alongside the series premiere. The base set includes the five Ressha (Red, Blue, Yellow, Green, Pink) plus the Fumikiriken. It is made predominantly of plastic (ABS/PVC), with no meaningful die-cast content. In train mode the Ressha couple together in a row, reconfigure into the robot via peg and sliding connections, and detach individually. The front sections of the Ressha are also compatible with the separately sold DX ToQ Changer (the transformation bracelet), which recognizes each Ressha. Because the series was never adapted, ToQ-Oh is a Japan-exclusive collector's item with no Western retail variant.
