Description
ZyuohWild is the core team's second main mecha in "Doubutsu Sentai Zyuohger" (2016, the 40th Super Sentai series). It is formed through "Doubutsu Gattai" (Animal Combination) from three of the Cube Animals commanded by the Zyuohger: Cube Elephant, Cube Tiger and Cube Gorilla (Zyuoh Cubes No. 4, 5 and 6). Within the show it serves as the brute-force, close-combat counterpart to the team's primary robot, ZyuohKing (Cubes 1-2-3: Eagle, Shark and Lion). Because Zyuohger was never adapted into a Power Rangers season, ZyuohWild has no US name and no Hasbro or Bandai America counterpart; it remained Japan-exclusive and never appeared as a Power Rangers Zord.
Its centerpiece is Cube Gorilla, which forms the torso and arms; the default line-up is named after its cube numbers as "ZyuohWild 6-5-4." Like the entire Zyuohger mecha line, it is built around the cube gimmick: each animal folds into a perfect cube and can be re-stacked into different configurations, reflecting the series' dice-based combination theme. The robot is designed around raw power, featuring a gorilla motif, chest-pounding and the Big Wild Cannon as a shoulder/arm cannon. ZyuohWild can also merge with ZyuohKing to form "Wild ZyuohKing" (where Cube Gorilla becomes the right arm, among other parts) and feeds into the series' larger grand combinations.
The DX toy was released in April 2016 by Bandai (Japan) as the "Doubutsu Gattai DX Zyuoh Wild Set" (Zyuoh Cube 4-5-6). The box contains Cube Elephant, Cube Tiger and Cube Gorilla plus the Big Wild Cannon, with a projectile-firing gimmick mounted on the arm. Construction is predominantly plastic (ABS/PVC), as is typical for the cube-based line; combination is purely mechanical via the fold-and-connect transformation, with no electronics. The three cubes were not sold individually but only as this set, and they combine with the separately released DX ZyuohKing to build Wild ZyuohKing. With no Power Rangers version in existence, the release was available outside Japan only as an import.
