Description

The Jackpot Striker is from "Kaitou Sentai Lupinranger VS Keisatsu Sentai Patranger" (2018) and debuted in the tie-in summer film "Kaitou Sentai Lupinranger VS Keisatsu Sentai Patranger en film". It is a self-contained, sentient VS Vehicle in red, aligned with the Lupinrangers, the series' phantom-thief team. It is effectively the red counterpart to the golden Good Striker known from the TV series and is described as the second sentient part of the "Lupin Collection". Because this Super Sentai season was never adapted into a Power Rangers series, the Jackpot Striker was released in Japan only and never as a Power Rangers toy; there is accordingly no official US name.

Functionally, the Jackpot Striker acts like Good Striker as an intelligent combination core: it can dock with the Lupinrangers' Dial Fighters, the Patrangers' Trigger Machines and the X Trains. At human scale it grants the three Lupinrangers a fused ranger form (Lupin Tricolor), mirroring the role Good Striker plays for the opposing side. At mecha scale, combined with the Red, Blue and Yellow Dial Fighters it forms the movie-exclusive robot LupinRex, where the Jackpot Striker provides the torso and legs.

The DX toy was released by Bandai Japan within the "VS Vehicle Series" as the "DX Jackpot Striker" on 4 August 2018 at a retail price of around 3,200 yen, positioned as a companion item to the film. It is essentially a remold/repaint of the DX Good Striker in a red-and-gold color scheme. As is typical for the VS Vehicle line, the figure is predominantly plastic (ABS/PVC); significant die-cast content is not characteristic of this model. Using the line's standardized connectors, it is compatible with the separately sold Dial Fighters, Trigger Machines and X-Train vehicles, allowing collectors to assemble LupinRex and other combinations. As a movie tie-in item, it was only available at retail for a limited period.
