Description
Siren Striker (Japanese サイレンストライカー) is a support unit, or "VS Vehicle," from Kaitou Sentai Lupinranger VS Keisatsu Sentai Patranger, the 42nd Super Sentai season (2018). This series was never adapted into Power Rangers, so Siren Striker exists solely as a Japanese release and was never produced as a Power Rangers toy — it is Japan-exclusive with no US counterpart or name. Rather than a standalone main Megazord, Siren Striker is an additional vehicle with a tank/emergency-vehicle motif that is available to both rival teams: the thieving Lupinrangers and the police unit Patranger.
In vehicle form Siren Striker fires from a large front cannon; in its Attack Mode, plough- or forklift-style extensions and side-mounted missile launchers deploy. At robot scale it works with the sentient support mecha Good Striker to produce two combinations: Siren LupinKaiser (on the Lupinranger side, with Trigger Machine Splash and Magic Dial Fighter) and Siren PatKaiser (on the Patranger side, with Trigger Machine Biker, Crane and Drill). At human scale, Siren Striker can also merge with a single ranger to create a "Super" ranger. Its defining trait is therefore this dual usability — a component that slots into either mecha lineup depending on the scene, instead of belonging to just one combined robot.
The DX toy was released on 26 October 2018 by Bandai (Japan) within the "VS Vehicle Series," the same line as the show's Dial Fighters and Trigger Machines. It is a compact, predominantly plastic vehicle with an electronic gimmick (sound/light powered by two LR44 button cells, test cells included). The individual boxing contains only the Siren Striker and an instruction sheet; the actual combinations require additional, separately sold VS Vehicles — chiefly Good Striker. Bandai also offered Siren Striker in a bundle, the "DX Victory LupinKaiser & Siren LupinKaiser Set" (with Good Striker, Magic Dial Fighter, Trigger Machine Splash and Victory Striker). Alongside the Japanese edition a Korean retail version exists; there is no Western or Hasbro release.
