Description
The Trigger Machine Biker is part of the vehicle roster of the Patrangers, the police team from "Kaitou Sentai Lupinranger VS Keisatsu Sentai Patranger" (Super Sentai #42, 2018–2019). It is one of the Patranger-side VS Vehicles – the Lupinrangers' equivalents are called Dial Fighters – and takes the form of a blue police motorcycle ridden by an anonymous robotic pilot. Because this series was never adapted into Power Rangers (the contemporaneous US season reused older Go-Busters footage instead), the Trigger Machine Biker remained Japan-exclusive and was never released as a Power Rangers toy. Within the show the VS Vehicles are contested between both teams; the Biker is reported to have first been piloted by Lupin Red before passing into Patranger hands.
Its combat role centers on docking with the main mecha PatKaiser to form PatKaiser Biker, in which the motorcycle's front wheel mounts on the arm and extends into a giant yo-yo for ranged striking, whipping and grappling attacks (rendered on the toy as an "Attack Mode"). A defining trait of the whole VS Vehicle line is a shared connection core: Trigger Machines can therefore also be attached to LupinKaiser, and Dial Fighters to PatKaiser, enabling many cross-team combinations. The Biker is likewise compatible with the VS Changer (the series' transformation device), triggering its own recognition and sound effects there.
The DX toy is made by Bandai Japan and was released in 2018 as an individually sold entry in the VS Vehicle Series. It is a small collectible vehicle built predominantly from plastic (ABS/PVC), with no significant die-cast content to expect. Its transformation is limited to switching between vehicle mode and combination/attack form, plus the standardized VS Vehicle connector that lets it slot into the Kaiser combinations. No Bandai America or Hasbro version exists.
