Description

Kishiryu Pachygaroo and Chibigaroo come from Kishiryu Sentai Ryusoulger (2019, the 43rd Super Sentai series), in which the heroes fight alongside living knight-dragons known as Kishiryu. Rather than a standalone main Megazord, Pachygaroo and Chibigaroo form an auxiliary Kishiryu pairing – specifically the tenth Kishiryu in the line (Kishiryu Series 10). They are a father-and-child set: the large Pachygaroo is modeled on a Pachycephalosaurus/Stygimoloch styled as a kangaroo, while the small Chibigaroo is the joey carried in its pouch, or chest compartment. The Ryusoulger team draws on their power through the paired Dosshin RyuSoul, which unlocks the earth-based Dosshin Armor and its knight gauntlets. In the US adaptation Power Rangers Dino Fury they correspond to the Pacha Smash Zord and Baby Pacha Zord; as a toy, however, they remained Japan-exclusive – Hasbro never released this combination as its own Zord.

In battle the pair merge with the standard KishiRyuOh Megazord (Tyramigo, Triken and Ankyloze) to form Ryusoul Gattai KishiRyuOh Pachygaroo. Pachygaroo's body splits into two halves that mount onto the arms as heavy Knight Gloves, with the right arm additionally carrying the Knight Thruster, while Chibigaroo attaches to the Megazord's head as a visor. In this configuration KishiRyuOh gains earth-based abilities along with pronounced boxing and striking power. Its finisher, the Boost Break Blow, charges the Knight Thruster and launches Chibigaroo like a projectile via a driving punch.

The DX toy was released in September 2019 by Bandai (Japan) as DX Pachygaroo, the tenth entry in the Kishiryu series. The set includes the large Pachygaroo figure, the small Chibigaroo (which stows inside the chest/pouch compartment), and the Dosshin RyuSoul as a play gimmick for the transformation gear. Construction is predominantly plastic, as is typical of the smaller auxiliary Kishiryu in this line; no significant die-cast content is documented. The figure is compatible with the separately sold DX KishiryuOh and can be reconfigured into the Pachygaroo armament. Because Ryusoulger was adapted as Dino Fury but this pairing was omitted from Hasbro's toyline, the model exists only as the Japanese Bandai release.
