This set comes from "Mashin Sentai Kiramager" (魔進戦隊キラメイジャー), the 44th Super Sentai series (2020), whose theme combines gemstones and vehicles. The show's mecha are called "Mashin" (魔進). Mashin Magellan (魔進マゼラン) and Mashin Duston (魔進ダストン) are not among the five core Mashin that form the main robot Kiramaizin; instead they belong to the "Buso Mashin" (武装魔進, "armament/weapon Mashin") — auxiliary Mashin that serve the team primarily as added weaponry. The series was never adapted into Power Rangers (Hasbro skipped this year), so it is Japan-exclusive and no official US name exists.

In battle, Mashin Magellan (vehicle form: a concrete mixer truck, lime-colored Kiramai Stone) converts into a large cannon that fires hardened cement needle projectiles, known as the "Magellan Shot." Mashin Duston (vehicle form: a garbage truck, navy-colored Kiramai Stone) becomes an oversized vacuum cleaner able to, among other things, suck up missiles in mid-flight. Both attach to the main robot as armament (combination name "Kiramaizin Duston & Magellan") and can also be used with other Kiramei combinations.

The DX toy is a Bandai (Japan) set from the "Buso Mashin / Weapon Machine Series 03" line, released in 2020. It contains both Mashin, each of which converts between a Kiramei Stone mode and a weapon mode and plugs onto DX Kiramaizin (or related combinations) via peg connections. Notable features are the sparkling clear parts and the line's characteristic Kiramai stickers. Construction is predominantly plastic; a meaningful die-cast content is not documented for these smaller weapon Mashin. The main distinguishing point is that it ships as a two-figure bundle ("Series 03") rather than as single releases.
