Description
Boonboom Patrol Car 1 (Japanese: ブンブンパトカー1, Bunbun Patokā 1) is from Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger (爆上戦隊ブンブンジャー), the 48th Super Sentai season (2024–2025). This vehicle-themed series never received a Power Rangers adaptation, so the zord was never released as a Power Rangers toy and is Japan-exclusive. In Boonboomger the "Boonboom Cars" (ブンブンカー) double as both the transformation gimmick and the show's mecha. Patrol Car 1 is not a main mecha but part of a police pair (together with Boonboom Patrol Car 2), assigned to the black team member BoonBlack (ブンブラック) — an auxiliary/support zord.
In terms of play mechanics, the Boonboom Cars are inserted into the Boonboom Changer (the transformation device), where they trigger vehicle-specific voice lines and sounds; running them through the Boonboom Trailer's "gate mode" flips them into an attack mode. While the Boonboomger Robo is normally formed from several Boonboom Cars combined with the Boonboom Trailer, Patrol Car 1 and 2 combine with the Robo to create the police configuration "Boonboomger Robo Police" (ブンブンジャーロボポリス). The compact cars thus serve as standalone vehicles as well as upgrade and combination parts.
The DX toy is made by Bandai (Japan) and belongs to the "Boonboom Car Series." The standard release (DX Boonboom Patrol Car 1) came out on April 6, 2024 at 1,540 yen (tax incl.), rated for ages 3 and up and made primarily of plastic (ABS/PVC). Features include triggering dedicated sounds via the Boonboom Changer, flipping into attack mode through the Trailer gate, mounting onto the Robo, and combining with Patrol Car 2 and the Boonboomger Robo to form the Robo Police. As a variant of note, a later color version, "DX Boonboom Patrol Car 1 – Justice White Ver." (ジャスティスホワイトVer.), was released on October 12, 2024 (also 1,540 yen) in a white "Justice White" livery.
