Description
Boonboom Racing (Japanese: ブンブンレーシング, Bunbun Rēshingu) is one of the Bakuage Machines (Boonboom Cars) from "Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger", the 48th Super Sentai series (2024), which has a car and racing theme. Styled as a sharp-edged red race car built for speed, it is the machine of the red lead, BoonRed, and its so-called Kiri Tires are said to cut through the wind. The series was never adapted into Power Rangers and never localized outside Japan, so this mecha exists only as a Japanese Bandai toy and was never released as Power Rangers merchandise.
In Attack Mode, the front and top of Boonboom Racing flip open to form the "Bakuage Burner", which fires a roughly 4,000-degree flame from its front nozzle. Combined with Boonboom Classic it forms the knight-themed Boonboomger Robo Knight, a battle form built around the main mecha Boonboomger Robo; individual Boonboom Cars can also be docked onto the DX Boonboomger Robo as weapons or add-on parts.
The DX toy is made by Bandai (Japan) and consists mainly of plastic. Placed on the separately sold DX Boonboom Changer it triggers a dedicated voice line, and passing it through the Boonboom Trailer in gate mode instantly snaps it into Attack Mode. This "Cool Blue Ver." is a general-retail color/recolor variant of the standard red release (out 21 September 2024): a dark-blue base with gold and silver printing, metallic-purple side windows and a printed gold flame pattern, with several tampo details re-arranged rather than being a plain repaint. It pairs with the matching DX Boonboom Classic Cool Blue Ver. to form the Boonboomger Robo Knight Cool Blue Ver.
