Description
The Boonboom Super Car (Japanese ブンブンスーパーカー, Bunbun Sūpākā) comes from "Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger," the 48th Super Sentai series (aired 2024–2025), an automobile-themed show centered on a courier/delivery team. It is the personal supercar machine of the team leader Bun Red (civilian name Taiya Hando), a deliveryman. Within the "Boonboom Cars" vehicle line-up, the Super Car is an additional supercar-type vehicle for Red rather than a core combination piece of the main robot: the lead mecha, Boonboomger Robo, is formed by the Boonboom Trailer (the alien machine Bundorio Bunderas), which shifts into robot mode and combines with two further Boonboom Cars.
The Boonboomger mecha work on a swap principle: the Boonboom Trailer assumes robot form and combines into different configurations depending on the vehicles used (default = Trailer + Off Road + Wagon; additional forms such as Police, Builder or Knight via other vehicle pairs). The Super Car slots into this collect-and-swap system as a Boonboom Car and can be used with the Boonboom Changer transformation device.
DX toy by Bandai (Japan): the DX Boonboom Super Car was released in 2024 not as a standard stand-alone item but as a limited campaign inclusion in the "Bakuage Mode Ver." specification — notably in the "Bakuage Start Set" alongside the DX Boonboom Changer, and in a Toys "R" Us Japan variant with further accessories (Boonboom Handle, BoonBot). It is a compact, mostly plastic collectible vehicle that is partly self-assembled and interacts with the Boonboom Changer. Because Boonboomger received no Power Rangers adaptation, the Super Car was never released as a Power Rangers toy and is therefore Japan-exclusive.
