Description
The Boonboomger Robo Champion (Japanese: Yūshō Bakuage Gattai Boonboomger Robo, 優勝爆上合体ブンブンジャーロボ チャンピオン) is the powered-up main-mecha form from "Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger", the 48th Super Sentai series (Japan, 2024/25, Toei/TV Asahi). The show has an automobile and road theme; the team, led by the red ranger BunRed, drives the BoonBoom vehicles. The base mecha, Boonboomger Robo, is formed from BunRed's red BoonBoom Car plus the BoonBoom Trailer, BoonBoom Off-Road and BoonBoom Wagon of the other core members (playable in three modes: individual vehicles, trailer gate mode and robot mode). For the Champion form this robot combines with the carrier vehicle Champion Carrier.
The Champion Carrier is a large blue truck that can load up to six BoonBoom Cars in its trailer; in Champion form the robot displays the five Rangers' helmets on its shoulders. Through the five-colored wheels linked with the BoonBoom Car it can briefly exert five times its normal power. The BoonBoom SuisoCar (水素カー, literally "Hydrogen Car") is a hydrogen-powered support vehicle: mounted on the Champion Carrier it acts as boosters (in the show even reaching space), while in the finisher it folds into Attack Mode and attaches to the Robo Champion as a pair of shoulder cannons.
The DX toy is made by Bandai (Japan) and is built mostly from plastic (ABS/PVC). It was released in October 2024 (Japan release 12 Oct 2024), typically as the "DX Champion Carrier & DX Suiso Car" set, which combines with the separately sold DX Boonboomger Robo (the base robot, released in early 2024). The included Suiso Car transforms into Attack Mode and can be attached as shoulder cannons; a Champion Changer attachment clips onto the separately sold DX BoonBoom Changer to trigger sound effects from the show. As Boonboomger received no Power Rangers adaptation, the zord is Japan-exclusive and was never released as a Power Rangers toy.
