Mashin Sentai Kiramager

Crystal shine instead of a modular kit: Kiramager once again puts classic Sentai elements like vehicles and machines front and centre, rounded out by a strong crystal and „shine“ theme. The Zords — here called Mashin — are clearly designed around fixed Megazord formations rather than the free modularity of some earlier seasons.

There was another peculiarity tied to the Kiramager movie: in selected Japanese cinemas you could buy the Red Mashin Makkā and the Red Mashin Shovellow on site. As far as I know, these cinema-exclusive variants were not regularly available in retail outside the screenings.

Apart from the known Special Editions shown here, there is apparently one more oddity in the shape of the Gashapon Mashin Fire Apparel, which could be drawn from Japanese gashapon machines (capsule toys). Its exact status is unclear to me at the moment. So far it cannot be confirmed whether it is a full DX version with combination capability or merely a decorative collector's piece at a smaller scale, with no functional tie-in to the regular Mashin or Megazord system. Until that is settled, this piece remains more of a curiosity for completists than a firmly classifiable part of the main toy line.
