Wild Force sent the Zords back into the wilderness. After several seasons with a technical, vehicle-heavy focus, a nature-based theme returned to the forefront. Animals and nature spirits replaced vehicles and futuristic concepts, which deliberately moved the season closer to classic Zord motifs.

The Wild Zords are conceived as standalone animal Zords that exist independently of one another and aren't permanently assigned to a single Ranger. Instead of a fixed team of five, there's a larger number of Zords from which different combinations can be formed. This flexible system sets Wild Force apart from the strictly structured Zord line-ups of the previous seasons.

The GaoKing is formed from a selection of these Zords and can be built up differently depending on the combination. The system is rounded out by additional standalone Megazords, each with its own composition and function. The focus here is less on the further development of a single main Zord and more on the variety of possible configurations.

From a collector's perspective, this season comes with a considerably higher number of individual Zords. The DX Wild Zords are each clearly defined on their own, but they really come into their own in combination. At the same time, it's exactly this openness that makes collecting more extensive and less clear-cut than in earlier seasons with sharply defined Zord sets.
