Tensou Sentai Goseiger

Designed as an anniversary season, Power Rangers: Megaforce draws on many familiar elements from earlier Power Rangers series. The setting is largely earthbound and takes place mostly in Angel Grove. The Zords and Megazords are loosely based on the Japanese source material Tensou Sentai Goseiger.

In the Megaforce toyline, Zord heads are the central focus. Many of them make sense, since they're needed for particular Megazord or Ultra combinations. Others serve more to expand the toyline without being functionally essential.

An example I find worthwhile:
- Sea Lion Blue Ranger Cycle with the Ultra Change Zord Head, which corresponds to the part from the Japanese version Hyper Change Datas Hyper

Together with the following Cycles, you can form the legs of the Gosei Grand Megazord:
- Sky Lion Red Ranger Cycle
- Sea Lion Black Ranger Cycle

These three Cycles belong together functionally and make a complete combination possible.

Less worthwhile in my view are:
- Ultra Red Ranger Dragon Cycle
- Robo Knight Lion Cycle

These Zord heads aren't required for any central combination and only expand existing Megazords marginally. Accordingly, their practical collector value is limited.
